Thank You!!

Thank you for the tears

Thank you for the pain

Thank you for the memories that I’ve tried to erase

Thank you for the gifts

Thank you for the lies

Thank you for I now have a better idea of what true love should be

Thank you

For though I was once bonded by what I believed was right, you set me free. You set me free to see the bright world outside. The bright world outside the cocoon I developed around me, based on the ridiculous expectations I set for myself.

Thank you

For now I know that true love brings peace. Now I know that true love brings happiness. True love brings friendship. True love brings an unbreakable bond. True love brings overwhelming joy.

Thank you

For if I hadn’t experienced what I thought to be the norm, I would not have appreciated true love when it came to me. Would I have recognized it? Would I have grasped unto it tightly and never want to let go?

Thank you for you prepared me appropriately for the bright future God planned for me.

Dawn

With heavy drops of rain pouring down on her, Alia ran as fast as she could to catch the very last bus home. She left work at 11pm once again today. She narrowly caught the bus and once she sat down she was lost in her thoughts. “When will I ever get a life if I keep leaving work at 11pm instead of 5pm?” “When will I get a chance to meet the man of my dream if I’m always working?” “How can I take control of my life?” “I’m always so frustrated leaving work. “Perhaps I should find an outlet for this frustration”. It was on that bus ride that her new dawn began. This was the beginning of My Mirrored Life.
